FAMILY
In a family there is no need/room for discord. Everyone has a role to play. Study your role according to scripture and live righteously before the Lord.
HUSBANDS- Ephesians 5:25 (KJV) 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
1 Peter 3:7 (KJV) 7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
Proverbs 18:22 (KJV)22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
Husbands do not allow anyone friend, foe or the devil himself gain a foothold in your marriage and cause you to lose your good thing.
FATHERS- Ephesians 6:4 (KJV) 4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Malachi 4:6 (KJV)6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Luke 15:20 (KJV)20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
Fathers, have compassion upon your seed, don’t show favoritism or allow anyone to cause you or help you to show partiality among your children. Deal with your children as our loving Father in Heaven deal with you. By example teach them/your household to follow our Lord and Savior. Be loving, kind, fair and just when dealing with your children.
WIVES- Ephesians 5:22 (KJV) 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
1 Peter 3:1-5 (KJV) 3 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; 2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
Proverbs 14:1 (KJV)14 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
Wives, let us build up our house in all righteousness. Let us righteously walk in support of our husbands. Let us be the help mate that we are called to be. Let us put away foolishness of the heart… let us guard against arguing, nit picking, against complaining, criticizing, against fighting and devouring our husbands with venomous tongues. If God has blessed you with a good husband, honor that husband. Submit unto your husband as unto God.
MOTHERS-Proverbs 31:25-30 (KJV) 25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
Psalm 127:3 (KJV) 3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Proverbs 1:8 (KJV) 8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
Mothers, teach your children to walk in righteousness before the Lord. Show compassion upon your children. Children are a blessing from God, and we will all have to give account for what we do with blessings from God. Allow your children to see you reverence the Most High God and in so doing will be teaching them not just in word but in deed to reverence the Lord.
CHILDREN- Proverbs 20:11 (KJV) 11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
Ephesians 6:1-3(KJV) 6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; 3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
Proverbs 23:22-25 (KJV) 22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old. 23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. 24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. 25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.
Children young and old do not despise the righteous instruction/teaching from your parents. Your parents are commanded by the Lord to bring you up in the way that you should go. They are to teach you to reverence the Lord in all you do… (Speech, works, the company you keep and activities you engage in) You are to listen to the word of God, learn and grow in wisdom that will be given unto you from God. Stay separate from the wickedness in this world. We were all created to do good works you are able to know even as a child rather your work is pure and right before the Lord. It brings joy to your parents to know that you are in right standing with the Lord. Live Holy even as little children so that as you grow up you will live Holy as adults.
BLENDED FAMILIY- 1 Timothy 5:8 (KJV) 8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. Provide continuity, stability, nurturing, shelter, etc.
Psalm 133:1 (KJV) 133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Leviticus 19:17-18 (KJV)17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. 18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.
The Lord desires for all to live in unity. The Lord commands us that as much as up to you, live in peace with everyone. Being family doesn’t mean you’re going to always get along, like each other, or be friends, but we must be careful to not tear each other to shreds, causing division and discord. Love each other even if you don’t like each other. Build up the body/family of Christ.
Much Love Majxsty
