Capital City, LLC is a minority, family-owned company based in the Maryland suburbs, owned by Charles and Arsha Jones. Arsha Jones was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and began to miss this sauce she grew up with when she moved to the suburbs and wanted to give her family a real taste of D.C. She regularly made mambo sauce in her kitchen for her boys and decided that it was good enough to market and sell.

The Jones family has grown this home-based business into a successful company, providing a beloved product from their childhood to more people around the world.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Established in 2011, Capital City, LLC, was created to give a taste of home to Washington, D.C. metropolitan natives. We are a specialty foods manufacturer, based in Arnold, Maryland, and we produce a regional cult-like chicken wing condiment called mambo sauce.

Mambo sauce is a sweet, sticky and tangy chicken wing condiment created and offered only in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The company’s flagship product, Mild Mambo Sauce, is the first commercially bottled alternative for those who love the taste of mambo sauce, but no longer have access to it or simply prefer to eat their meals at home.

Capital City’s Mambo Sauce can be found at various retail locations in the Washington, D.C. area, including both retail stores and specialty shops. Additionally, it’s used at several restaurant locations as their “house” wing sauce.
